Animal Crossing: Wild World HRA Guide
The Happy Room Academy (H.R.A. for short) is a group that judges your overall designing skills in your house. This includes sets, themes, and everything in between. They even take points off for having junk on your floors! Needless to say, the HRA are decorating wizards. So, shortly after starting your AC:WW game, Tom Nook will ask you to join the HRA. You have no choice but to say yes, and this is when youíll start receiving HRA letters. Now, every Sunday Morning youíll get a letter with your HRA score enclosed, and for passing a certain amount of HRA points, you can get gifts from the HRA, which are models of your houses. However, a hefty HRA score isnít always easy to get, so hopefully this guide will give you a better idea on how to get one yourself.

There are many different ways to score big with the HRA, but there are ways to score even bigger. In order for a big score, check out these tips:

Series:
You always want full series when going for even a lowly score. The sets include Blue, Cabana, Cabin, Classic, Exotic, Green, Kiddie, Lovely, Modern, Ranch, Regal, Mush, Mario and Snowman. There are 10 pieces to most series, and a wall and floor to match. Having a complete set with the wall and floor earns you 48,000 HRA points. But, there is a way to get tons, TONS more points. These are themes, and are generally smaller than a series. Completing a series adds lots of points to your HRA score.

Themes:
Generally smaller in items required to complete it, Themes are made up from anywhere from 2-15 items. Thereís the Pine theme, which is only a Table and Chair. Then, thereís the Backyard Theme, which has a whopping 15 items. The point system for themes works like this: (number of items in the theme x 7,000). Meaning the Pine theme would earn you 14,000 points JUST for two items alone.

Special Items:
I'm going to focus on two items that can add chunks to your HRA Score. (Even with a theme in your room, you may want to consider adding these anyway, just for that larger score.) The first item, is Gulliver items. Gulliver flies a UFO over your town occasionally, and by shooting him down and recovering the 5 missing parts to his UFO, he will give you a rare item, unorderable, and it can be placed in your house for even more Bonus Points. The second way (the way I prefer and do use) is Pictures of your villagers. Pictures are easy to get, but time consuming as well. To get a picture, make a villager your friend. Send them letters, talk often with them, help them out, and eventually in return youíll get a picture of them. These pictures score big with the HRA (3,200 points each), and placing them in your house (Tables, end tables, floor) nets you big points. I have at least 10 pictures per room in my house, probably even more. But if pictures are troublesome, try getting Models.

Models:
There are many, many different models you can get in AC:WW. The HRA even awards models for reaching the following landmarks (HRA Pointwise):
  • 70,000 Points: The HRA will send you a One-Story Model in the mail.
  • 100,000 Points: The HRA will send you a Two-Story Model in the mail.
  • 150,000 Points: The HRA will send you a Mansion Model in the mail.
There are also ways to get models the Museum and Town Hall:
  • Donate all Bugs/Fish/Paintings/Fossils: Museum Model
  • Save up 999,999,999 Bells in Savings Account: Town Hall Model
You can also get Models of Nooks four stores:
300 Store Points Nookís Cranny Model
5,000 Store Points Nook ëní Go Model
10,000 Store Points Nookway Model
20,000 Store Points Nookingtonís Model
Hereís some other tips to get you ìQuickieî Pointsî

Trophies:
In total there are three, but adding them to your home earns you 800 points each. I wouldnít use them unless in desperate need of points.
  • Win the Bug Off: Bug Trophy
  • Win the Fishing Tourney: Fish Trophy
  • Win the Flower Fest: Flower Trophy
Pascal Items:
We all know him, the red otter that can be found on our shores from time to time. Well, I bet you didnít know the items he gives out are worth 1,543 HRA points each! Hereís a complete list of those item, and the matching Wall and Floor, too.
  • Helm
  • Barrel
  • Keg
  • Ship Cannon
  • Anchor
  • Ship Compass
  • Sea View ñ Wall
  • Ship Deck ñ Floor
Lucky Items:
These are hard hitters. The HRA awards you 7,777 points per Lucky Item! Here is the complete list of Lucky Items:
  • Arwing
  • Big Festive Tree
  • Birthday Cake
  • Dracaena
  • Festive Tree
  • Four-Leaf Clover
  • Garden Gnome
  • Ivory Piano
  • Jack-in-the-Box
  • Lefty Lucky Cat
  • Lovely Phone
  • Lucky Black Cat
  • Lucky Cat
  • Master Sword
  • Music Box
  • Piggy Bank
  • Pikmin
  • Portrait
  • Raccoon Figurine
  • Samurai Suit
  • Scarab Beetle
  • Treasure Chest
  • Triforce
  • Washer/Dryer
Needless to say, Lucky Items really can just take the place of pictures. Most are easy enough to get, and can boost your score big time.

ìSpecialî Series:
In Animal Crossing Wild World, there are things I like to consider ìSpecialî Series. In Wild World, only three series fall under that category: The Mush, Snowman and Mario series. Basically, for being ìspecialî items (only being available at specific times) the HRA awards bonus points, in addition to the 48,000 you get for having the series complete. The items them selves get more for being more ìuniqueî. Thereís not really much to say about them, but Iíd definitely recommend using one if you have it available.

Some things to Consider:
Itís probably important to know that your floor can hold unlimited items ñ so thatís also a factor to add in. You want the ìBang for your buckî items in there now, to get more points for less used spots. I recommend a Special series, with a Combination of pictures, Lucky items, or both. I used all pictures and Special series, and that got me my personal record of 502,417 HRA points.
Item Points Lost
Unusable Items # of items x (-100)
Items on Floor # of items x (ñ1)
Items Facing Wall # of items x (-100)
To make the most of your HRA score with any size house:

Making the most of your house:
I just think this could be of benefit to any beginners, especially those with not a lot of money to pay debt off. Well, in you case, obviously you canít get as high a score as people with a larger house, but Iíll give you some ideas.

ìBang for your Buckî Items:
A little while ago in the guide, I mentioned a ìBang for your Buckî item was an item that got you a lot of HRA points without wasting valuable spots in your house. Under this category would fall Lucky Items, mainly, seeing they are worth 7,777 points each. Pictures, fall under this category as well, seeing as they are worth 3,200 points each. But one thing to consider is themes. The Pine Theme, as I mentioned earlier, can earn you 14,000 points just for those two items alone. This is how people with smaller houses still can get a great HRA score, and even people with big houses should try some "Bang for your Buck" items.
