Animal Crossing (GameCube) Nook's Shop Expansion Guide
Before we take a look at his stores, let us take a look at Tom Nook.

Tom Nook is in the American/European versions and the Japanese version as two different entities.

American/European: In this particular version of Animal Crossing: Wild World and Population:Growing, Nook is but a simple raccoon accustomed to being the town's only real item manufacturer and sole provider of furniture for your town.

Japanese: In this version, Tom Nook is the real thing, that thing being a tanuki. A Tanuki is a raccoon-dog. Maybe if you look closer in the game you can see the resemblance of man's best friend and man's garbage pest.< / br>

The Shops

Nook's Cranny: A Humble Beginning

This is the first shop Nook has ever owned and the first shop your town will come with unless you are moving in a town that has already been expanded.

This store is one that makes you think "Aw. Like a country store.". It is small and poorly made with a thatched roof and wooden build, most connected to a small general store.

Upgrading Amount is 25,000 bells spent on this humble cottage.

Nook 'n' Go: A Little More Like It

Right after spending the necessary 25,000 bells you will have a day where the store is close then: It is Nook 'n' Go time.

Still a small shop Nook 'n' Go resembles a gas station without the pumps. It holds a little bit more than Nook's Cranny does with items and such.

Upgrading Amount: 65,000 bells.

Nookway: Bigger is Better

This is no longer the little games for Nook this is his right of passage into the big league of business. Again the store is closed for one day to repair and replenish stock.

This store isn't one of the things you find in a quaint little village scene but it is Nook's shop so it's there. This edition to Nook's business entourage is the size of a superstore like Walmart.

Upgrading Amount: 240,000 AND a visitor to do a complete transaction at your town.

Nookington: The Big Cheese

THIS is a store. A shopper's fantasy. But it is a whopper to get upgraded to. This also takes a day to build for it has two floors and a stylish red carpet.

So, this is when Nook has his biggest store that can not be upgraded anymore. Congratulations! You've earned Nookingtons!
