Diamond Luster History

Diamond Luster was created on July 9th, 2006 by copperdude and Master Zanaru, with the original intent of being a good discussion area for video games. Since then, Diamond Luster has gained many features and resources, and has transitioned to an Animal Crossing focused site. Around the release of Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, the site began splitting focus between Pokemon and Animal Crossing. On July 9th, 2007, Diamond Luster released a site separate from the InvisionFree forums and began using the slogan "Where Animal Crossing and Pokémon Meet." On July 9th, 2008, Diamond Luster closed temporarily to focus on the "Gem" forums, a new site coded entirely from the bottom up. On November 9th, 2008, the new website based on Gem opened, rechristened "Diamond Luster: Animal Crossing and Beyond."

Diamond Luster Newsletter

The Diamond Luster Newsletter will be a quarterly production by the DL staff that highlights site, Animal Crossing and life happenings in the past quarter. You can expect the first issue on July 1st, 2009.

Becoming Diamond Luster Staff

The Diamond Luster staff is chosen by the current staff, on the criteria of how well potential staff members contribute and are responsible. If you wish to be a part of the Diamond Luster staff, be helpful and active around the forums- you will eventually catch our eye if merited.

Diamond Luster Content

Diamond Luster's images were collected by either scanning them personally from the Official Nintendo Guides (as in the case of our Animal Crossing images), or made using graphic design programs (as in the case of the theme graphics and buttons). All images were scanned or made personally by the DL staff, and no images were taken from any other source. We have legal copyright over the images that were made by the DL staff, and using such images without our permission is in violation of those copyrights. In regards to our guides and other information texts, we share the rights to the information along with the submitter. However, when submitting a guide/text to Diamond Luster, you acknowledge that Diamond Luster has the right to publish and modify the guide as necessary.
